If you weren't involved in yours, and you don't know first hand, high school marching band is familial. With lots of traveling and performing as a group over many years, you don't easily forget the good times, places and faces. That said, I've happily had the opportunity to photograph a few of my family members.
A faithful part of the color guard back in the day, I was so excited to hear that, Tyshonia, "Ty," was expecting.
She wanted to make sure that her and her husband, Al, had some maternity images before Al Jr.'s arrival. We met at Tilley Pond Park on the edge of Stamford and Darien, CT. I had photographed there once before, and it was a fantastic setting again. . It really made my day to see their love, joy, and happiness while in expectation. We walked, talked and laughed our way around the park:
