I had the opportunity to meet the very talented Melisa Breiner-Sanders while she was performing in a small stage production of Little Bird in Long Island City, NY, back in 2009. We kept in touch via Facebook and a few years later she reached out to me to gauge my interest in photographing a small event.
She had become a producer with a filmmaking group, “Think(iT) Film Assembly.” Founded by Elliot Joesph, Think(iT) strives to “shed light on imaginations.” It’s really great stuff, be sure to check them out at www.thinkitfilm.com.
Melisa asked if I would like to photograph a film screening and networking event that they were holding in Manhattan in May of 2013. It was a nice mixer/meet and greet as well as a fun lineup of 8 short films (about 5-7 minutes each). Afterwards, there was a short Q&A session with all of the films’ directors.
There was also free popcorn. How could I not attend?
The films for the evening included:

by Jason Saenz
"Shaken and Stirred"
