In May (2017) I took a road trip down the Pacific Coast Highway. I spent the first day heading south from Mendocino and eventually ending up back in San Francisco for the night.
Along the way, I made a stop in Point Arena, California. The Point Arena Light looked like a great roadside attraction to photograph. I spent the remainder of the afternoon from 6:30PM to 8PM in the Point Arena vicinity. This blog post includes images from the Lighthouse and a few areas to the South. My apologies for not documenting my trip better; I was on the move. I know that south of the lighthouse were the Sea Lion Rocks, which contained great natural colors.
